The Commercial Mortgages Sector: A Unique Asset Class

In this role, you will be required to work on tasks that assist the Commercial Mortgages Funding Team. You will primarily work with the financial statements and leases of commercial properties. Additional experience will be gained by working with analytical tools and reporting. The ideal candidate will be tech savvy with the ability to work independently or in a team. You will also have excellent time-management, communication and analytical skills.
Your responsibilities / What you will learn
- Analyse and code real estate operating statements;
- Review and code leases of multi-residential and commercial properties;
- Assist in enhancing the analytics tools of the investment portfolios.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- A third or fourth year student working towards a University Degree in Finance, Business or related discipline;
- Available for the work term: May to August 2026;
- Proficient in MS Office applications with strong Excel experience;
- Some working knowledge of the commercial real estate industry or previous commercial mortgage experience (asset);
- A self-starter that shows initiative and has the ability to work independently and as a team player;
- Effective analytical and problem solving skills;
- Time-management skills with an ability to prioritize and multi-task;
- Attention to detail and accountability.
